Excellent tensile characteristics and optimal tear properties made monoaxially oriented Polypropylene film (MOPP) the most successful base material for tear tapes.

The tear tape as an opening aid becomes more and more popular, since the goods are packed ever more tight and the danger of damaging the packed good when opening by knives and scissors is very high. This comfort for the customer results in a winning product image.

For the film tear tapes, our films in the thickness range of 26 - 40 µm have established. For the cardboard tear tapes, the film thickness is within the range 60 - 125 µm, depending upon task of load.

With envelopes from cardboard and with small parcels the function of the release tape for the self-adhesive closure can be combined with that of the tear tape as an opening aid in only one tape from MOPP film.

For the revaluation of the packing or for advertising purposes the tear tapes are increasingly high-quality printed.
