Polypropylene Film – flame-retardant
Polypropylene films are characterized by a low mass per unit area and excellent physical proper-ties. However, the standard films are flammable. Sometimes it is mandatory to use flame-retardant materials. In the past, it was only possible for thicker PP products.
Now, we can offer a flame-retardant mono-oriented film, which is produced with a halogen flame retardant.
With a film thickness of 50 µm a classification ac-cording building material class B2 could be achieved. The test was made on the basis of DIN 4102.
The physical properties which characterise a mono-oriented film are only slightly affected by the flame-retardant modification. The film colour gets white-opaque.
Of course, also our non-oriented films can pro-duced in flame-retardant modification Using a halogen flame-retardant as well, the classification according building material class B2 of DIN 4102 can be achieved with films in a thicknesses of 100 and 300µm.
Since each film quality, thickness and colour must pass the qualification procedure according DIN 4102 separately, a classification as described above, can't be granted in advance. Please inform us about your demands and wishes.
The development works are continued for the achievement of halogen free flame-retardants.
